Facets Multi-Media

Facets Multi-Media is a film organization in Chicago, Illinois, formed in 1975. Besides its facilities in Chicago, Facets Multi-Media also runs Facets Video, one of the largest distributors of foreign film in the United States.

Facets Video

The most well-known division of Facets Multi-Media is Facets Video, which distributes films by renowned directors such as Bela Tarr, Jean-Luc Godard, Věra Chytilová, Amos Gitai, and Miklos Jancso. Facets also releases American independent, experimental, and documentary films.

Facilities

Facets maintains facilities in Chicago, where it was originally founded as a non-profit community film organization. These includes a single-screen movie theater (referred to as Facets Cinémathèque), a video retail and rental store, and a non-accredited film school. Since the earliest days of home video, customers around the world have been able to rent videos from Facets by mail.

Programs

Facets runs the Chicago International Children's Film Festival.
